Inspired by the simple truth in martin amis’s piece of the same name, the nuclear war exists while the weapons exist and just because they aren’t in the headlines doesn’t mean the capacity to wipe us off the face of the earth is not still in the hands of religious fundamentalists and cynical political gamblers, there may be a truce, a stalemate in the chess game, this is a small mercy to us all

'A World Lit Only By Fire' is an angry and gloomy motherfucker. From the start, you're being battered with pummeling, gritty low end, piercing dissonance and industrial cold. It paints a dystopian picture in my mind - of bulldozers slowly crawling through a wasteland and people hiding in sheer panic, hungry and desperate for a glimpse of hope.
